Kalpana Patowary: Mumbai, Maharashtra; Kalpana Patowary, a prominent Indian folk artist, is celebrated for her commitment to safeguarding the socio-reforming folk art of Bhikhari Thakur, a cultural heritage originating from Bihar. Her collaborative CD, Voyage 2, which integrates Indian traditional music with global musical traditions, was submitted for consideration at the 67th Grammy Awards in the Global Music Performance category.
